Rosemary Baked Pears with Honey Sauce Recipe



These delicately flavored pears are a perfect ending to wonderful meal and wonderful company. ahhh…. amore.

Prep:  20 minutes | Cook:  1 hour | Serves:  6-8

Rose, baked pears, candle

Ingredients

Amco Enameled Aluminum Lemon Squeezer
CorningWare Ceramic Baking dish
  • 3/4  cup water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • juice from 1/2 lemon
  • 4 small pears or 3 large pears
  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In saucepan, combine water, honey and fresh lemon juice.  Bring to a simmer.
  3. Peel pears, slice in half length-wise and remove the core.
  4. Arrange pears cut-side down in a baking dish just large enough to hold a single layer.
  5. Pour hot honey mixture over pears.  Place sprigs of rosemary on pears. Cover baking dish with foil and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until pears are tender.  Baste pears half-way through cooking time.
  6. Remove rosemary sprigs and discard.   Allow to cool before serving.
