Fried Oreo Recipe

Everything tastes better deep-fried! The Oreo is my favorite store-bought cookie and when I heard a model on American’s Next Model mention the “deep-fried Oreo” I had to give it a try. The Oreo is dipped in pancake batter then fried until golden. I actually found that is wasn’t necessary to deep-fry. Pan-fried worked just as well.

Prep: 5 minutes | Cook: 2 minutes | Yield: 24 cookies

Fried Oreos


  • 24 Oreo cookies, you can use regular or double stuff
  • Pancake mix – your choice, make enough for 12 pancakes
  • Canola oil, for frying


  1. Prepare plate with double layer of paper towels to drain Oreos after frying.
  2. Pour oil into skillet about 1/2 inch deep and heat over medium high heat.
  3. Mix up pancake batter according to instructions on box. Dip Oreo into batter and gently place in heated oil. Fry on one side until golden brown, approximately 1 minute. Gently flip and continue to fry for an additional minute or until golden brown. Remove Oreo from oil with a slotted spoon and place on paper towel prepared plate.
  4. Serve warm with an ice cold glass of milk.
