Easy Homemade Tahini Recipe

Tahini is very to make, requires only a couple ingredients and is a great addition to many foods.

Recipe adapted from How to Make Tahini

Prep: 5 minutes | Yield: 1 cup



  • 1-1/4 cup of roasted sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoons of grapeseed oil or olive oil
  • a pinch of salt or to taste


  1. Grind the sesame seeds in small food processor until a paste forms.
  2. Add the oil and process for another minute to a smooth paste. Scrape side, process and add additional oil 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency.
  3. Taste and add a pinch of salt if desired. Process again until combined.
  4. Store tahini in an air tight container in the refrigerator.
