Steamed Crab Legs Recipe



These crab legs taste delicious without a sauce, but garlic butter will take it up a notch.

Prep:  5 minutes | Cook:  5 minutes | Serves:  4

Beach recipes, that old cape magic

Ingredients

  • 1 pound crab legs
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring 2 cups of water and a tablespoon of salt to a boil.  Place the crab legs in a steamer basket or a metal colander placed over the pot.   Steam for about 5 minutes or until you can start to smell them.
  2. Serve with Garlic Butter

Garlic Butter

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Melt the butter in a skillet and cook the garlic until translucent.  Season with salt and pepper.

It may be handy to have a seafood cracker to open the shells.
