Gourmet Hamburgers Recipe

A delicious extra special burger made with ground sirloin and seasoned to perfection.

If time allows be sure to serve with homemade hamburger buns.

Prep: 7 minutes | Cook: 15-20 minutes | Serves: 4-8 (depending on size of patties)

Meat Patty, Bun and fixings

  • 2 pounds coarse ground sirloin
  • 1 teaspoon of a flavor enhancer, such as Accent
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of pepper
  • 1/4 cup of worcheshire sauce

  1. Several hours before serving, form 6 nice size patties.  Place patties on baking sheet with sides.  In small bowl, combine Accent, salt, and pepper.  Sprinkle half the seasonings on one side of patties.  Flip patties and season the other side of each patty with the remaining seasonings.  Pour worcheshire sauce generously over each patty.   Cover with foil, and place in refrigerator for at least one-two hours.
  2. Preheat outdoor grill to high heat.  Place patties on grill and cook on one side until patties begin to bleed through, approximately 12-15 minutes for thick burgers.  Flip burgers, then grill about 10 minutes on the other side.   (Grilling time depends on the size and thickness of patties and the heat of the grill.)
  3. Remove from grill and place on hamburger buns.  Top with desired condiments and toppings.
