Canadian Maple Syrup Chicken Recipe

This wonderful chicken recipe combines the sweet taste of maple syrup with a lemony twist.

Prep: 15 minutes | Cook: 1 hour | Serves: 5-6

  • 2.5 – 3 lbs chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, cut into 1 – 1 1/2 inch tenderloin strips
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  2. Wash and pat dry chicken. Place chicken in a shallow baking pan.
  3. Combine butter, maple syrup, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Pour over chicken pieces.
  4. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, basting every 15 minutes.
