Quick Strawberry Shortcake Recipe

I will admit this is not as good as homemade shortcakes, but if you are craving a quick summer dessert, it will do the trick.

biscuits, strawberries, whipped cream

Ingredients

  • 1 can whole wheat biscuits
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Whipped cream
  • Strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bake the biscuits according to the directions.
  2. Mix the strawberries and sugar in a bowl.  Set aside.
  3. Slice them and place the bottom on a plate.  Layer with strawberries, the whipped cream.  Top with the top of the biscuit.
  4. Top with whipped cream and a strawberry for garnish
