Cocoa Mocha Buttery Brownies Recipe
Very moist and very rich deep-dish chocolate brownies topped with a creamy mocha frosting.
Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 25 minutes Serves: 12-16

Ingredients
Brownies
- 1 cup butter, softened to room temperature
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup butter
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cocoa
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13″ pan.
- Beat together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla, combining well. With wooden spoon, individually stir in cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt, mixing well after each addition.
- Bake at for 30-35 minutes or until edges lightly browned. Do not overcook. Cool completely before frosting.
- For frosting, beat together butter and powdered sugar. Beat in 1/4 cup whipping cream, a bit more if needed for proper consistency. In a small bowl mix together instant coffee, vanilla, cocoa and salt until coffee is dissolved. Spread over brownies.
