Today I finished reading The Hunger Games and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. Once I started reading them I could not stop. The suspense during the Hunger Games was relentless!

The Angry Birds craze has hit our house so it was no surprise when my son wanted an Angry Birds birthday party. This cake was so easy to assemble and provided tons of entertainment.

Every Christmas Eve we have a gingerbread house decorating contest with my husband’s family. It used to be that we would have a couple of houses for the kids to decorate, but then the adults started joining in on the fun and a friendly competition began.
