Sage Limeade Drink Recipe
The sage and lime flavors in this drink go so well together. This would also taste great as an adult beverage with a little vodka or tequila added to it.

Prep: 10 minutes + 1 hour rest time Cook time: about 10 minutes Serves: 8

Ingredients
- 1 cup plus 3 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- Juice from 10 limes + zest from 2 of the limes
- About 15 sage leaves, chopped
Instructions
- Zest 2 limes so that you have large pieces with none of the bitter white part of the peel. Add 1 cup water, sugar, lime zest and chopped sage leaves to a saucepan and heat to boiling. Turn the heat down and simmer until all the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and let stand for one hour.
- Meanwhile juice the 10 limes and set aside. Strain the sage syrup into a pitcher and add the lime juice. Stir, then add ice and water to fill the pitcher and stir again.
