Hot Irish Whiskey Drink Recipe



A soothing, warming after-dinner drink made with Irish whiskey, sugar syrup and topped with whipped cream. You better double this recipe.

Prep: 10 minutes | Serves: 8

Irish Whisky After-Dinner Aperitif

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup Irish Whiskey
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Place sugar and water in a saucepan and over medium heat slowly bring to boil, stirring constantly. Continue to boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  2. Pour Irish Whiskey into sugar syrup. Reheat over low heat to very hot, but NOT boiling. Pour mixture into 8 cordial glasses and dollop a tablespoon of whipped cream on top. Serve immediately.
