Lana’s Texas Salsa Recipe

A delicious hot and spicy salsa recipe that my son’s good friend shared with me.  Serve with tortilla chips and guacamole.

Inspired by Caramelo

Prep time:  15 minutes       Serves:  12 or more

avocados, tomatoes, chips

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 7-10 jalapenos
  • 4 cans (14 1/2 ounce) of whole tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Accent Flavor Enhancer
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In food processor*, chop onion and jalapeno.  Place in large bowl.  Add tomatoes to food processor, blend and add to onion and jalapenos.  Set aside.
  2. In small saucepan, bring oil, vinegar, Accent Flavor Enhancer, salt and garlic just to boil.  Stir into tomato mixture and blend well.  Store in non-metal container and refrigerate.
