Baked Apple Chips Recipe
Baked apple chips are a delicious and healthy snack, alone or with a Peanut Butter Dip.
Prep: 5 minutes | Cook: 2 hours | Makes: 8
Ingredients
- 4 apples (Granny Smith or Gala)
- 4 cups apple juice
- Butter flavored cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with butter flavored cooking spray.
- Bring the apple juice to a boil in a medium saucepan.
- Slice the apples 1/8 inch thick with a sharp knife or a mandoline*, avoiding the core.
- Place the apples in the boiling apple juice and cook for about 2 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels.
- Place on the baking sheet and spray lightly with butter flavored cooking spray. Bake at 200 degrees for 2-3 hours or until crisp.
Serve with Peanut Butter Dip.
