Prep: 5 minutes | Cook: 2 hours | Makes:  8

Apple Chips Recipe

  • 4 apples (Granny Smith or Gala)
  • 4 cups apple juice
  • Butter flavored cooking spray

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.  Spray a baking sheet with butter flavored cooking spray.
  2. Bring the apple juice to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  3. Slice the apples 1/8 inch thick with a sharp knife or a mandoline*, avoiding the core.
  4. Place the apples in the boiling apple juice and cook for about 2 minutes.  Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels.
  5. Place on the baking sheet and spray lightly with butter flavored cooking spray.  Bake at 200 degrees for 2-3 hours or until crisp.

Serve with Peanut Butter Dip.
